Since opening its doors in 2002, Alba fast became the pinnacle of fine 5-star dining in the town, specialising in local produce, line-caught fish and seasonal vegetables.
The menu is designed by award winning chef and proprietor Grant Nethercott and showcases natural, eclectic flavour combinations. He loves to use a variety of local ingredients from local fishermen, farmers, foragers and even herbs from his own garden. Being a classically trained chef, to Michelin standard, he draws a lot of influence from French cuisine but over the years, it has come from around the world. He would class the cuisine at Alba as modern British style.
We recommend you book in advance for the Alba fine dining restaurant, located on the first floor and offering panoramic views across St Ives bay to Godrevy Lighthouse.
Downstairs, the cosmopolitan A Bar offers craft beers, cocktails, gins, wine and coffee. There’s no need to book a table at the A Bar, just turn up and choose your tipple.
